SHRED AND SEE 1.0.0 - THIRD-PARTY NOTICES
Updated 2026-09-18

Shred and See is written against the Python standard library only. The
executable programs bundle the following open-source components. Each is the
property of its respective authors and is governed by its own license,
referenced below. These licenses may grant you rights that LICENSE.txt does
not; nothing in LICENSE.txt limits those rights for these components.

1. Python 3.12 (interpreter and standard library)
Copyright Python Software Foundation. Python Software Foundation License
   (PSF-2.0). https://www.python.org/ and https://docs.python.org/3/license.html

2. Tcl/Tk (via Python's tkinter)
Copyright Regents of the University of California, Sun Microsystems, Inc.,
Scriptics Corporation and other parties. Tcl/Tk License (BSD-style).
   https://www.tcl.tk/software/tcltk/license.html

3. PyInstaller bootloader
Copyright PyInstaller Development Team. GNU General Public License version 2
with a special exception that allows programs bundled with PyInstaller to be
   distributed under any license. https://pyinstaller.org/

4. Libraries shipped with Python for Windows and used by its standard library
(OpenSSL, zlib, bzip2, liblzma, libffi, expat, SQLite, mpdecimal). Each is
under its own permissive license, reproduced on the Python license page
linked above. Shred and See never opens a network connection; OpenSSL is
present only because Python includes it.

5. Microsoft Visual C++ runtime libraries
Redistributed as permitted with the Python for Windows distribution.
   Copyright Microsoft Corporation.

Not bundled: Pillow is used on the build machine to draw the icon and is not
part of the executable programs.
